Inspired by Ernest Shackleton and his crew, when his ship Endurance got trapped in ice and slowly crushed to destruction. The crew managed to escape and use the remaining ship's boats and floating ice to navigate to rescue. This scene is the moment that their boat is trapped and slowly getting crushed, and to me reflects the defiance of life and how we persevere even in the most treacherous of times.
