Memory from a gorgeous summer day. We'd hiked on wooden platforms through a boggy landscape where tufts of grass floated amidst a blue reflection of clouds, then finally found this sunny forest path. I wanted to sit a moment and paint it, and got to listen to the hum of frogs and chirping birds as it was created.
